Today you will:
  • Examine your role as leader in promoting, modeling, and supporting effective change
  • Identify, access, and use available tech resources
  • Prioritize a list of leadership behaviors to promote tech integration, teaching, and learning
  • Review, analyze, and apply essential conditions and standards to your setting
  • Develop a draft of a personal action plan to implement in your school

  • How does technology and complex problem solving fit in to Next Gen Learning
  • Sau 15 has been working on 21st Century vision and what the shift is that needs to happen. This is a different modality of learning People thought it was a tech training tie but it is ore about how we bring it together.
  • Hooksett/Candia/Auburn is rolling out Bring your own device
  • Lebanon is facing the fact that they need to be a hybrid school if they are going to be a presence in the future.
  • Last year Lebanon had over 200 Extended Learning Opportunities.

What does a 21st century school look like and how do we get there?

  • Administrative Tech Leader Cohorts are meeting across the state.
  • Each is at a different stage of the planning process.
  • Each is considering what 21st century schools will look like

Ranking discussion
  • You have to have a vision in order to sell it or inspire This is clearly the top one, becasue other things will fall into place with a clear vision
  • We shifted the direction this year from here are the cool tools how can you use them to here are the tools that you need to create the environment that is necessary for the 21st Century.

  • Everything that had students in it were was ranked higher.
  • Equitable Access was the lowest ranking? What about special needs? Accessible web resources? How does this fit with Bring your own device?
  • What about policies?

  • Collaborating should be Google’s middle name. In this presentation you will observe an end product then learn:
    * how to create docs and share with others,
    * how to retrieve the history and publish the final copy as a web page
    * how to create interactive questionnaires through forms
    * how to take the data you receive in the questionnaire and put into graphs and share

    When you leave you will be able to create and share( with individuals and publish) your own google doc, google form and share the results of the data you collected.

How can creating digital texts improve teaching and learning?(Nets A-2)

  • Participants will create a publication using Pages and ePub format, then transfer to iPad for reading in iBook. This process can be used to load your iBook bookshelves with student work, lesson notes, unit resources and more.
