The iPod Touch is an amazingly small, but powerful device that allows administrators to organize their work quickly, easily, and efficiently. With appsîfor a calendar, contacts, e-mail, maps, weather, notes, voice memos, a clock, calendar, and so much more from the Apple Store, one can improve how one works.Many administrators have used this device for walk-throughs; evaluating the integration of technology into instruction;,and checking for generally becoming more effective in working with classroom teachers, specialists and others in the improvement of instruction.This workshop will demonstrate some of the applications that are available. How to get started

If you have not already done so create
  • an iTunes account (You will need to attach it to a creditcard).
  • a Google account - this can be set up to any email address.
  • investigate the itunes store. Don't miss iTunes U and podcasts

How to sync your Groupwise calendar to your Google calendar.

  • Right click on your groupwise calendar and select Export. A Calendar.ics file will be produced. Then go into google calendar underOther calendars and click on Add (in the bottom right hand corner of the applet). Click on Import calendar. Select the calendar.ics file you exported from groupwise. Select the google calendar you would like to import your groupwise stuff to. After a few seconds, your calendar will be imported
